Chief Accountant

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the Chief Accountant will manage financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and lead month-end closing processes in a remote or hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting tasks including posting bank statements, managing employee expenses, and preparing payroll data
• Lead month-end closing and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and preparing SOX control documentation
• Collaborate with global branches and maintain supplier relationships, including monitoring payment terms and reconciling balances

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Familiarity with ERP Comarch Optima is desirable; knowledge of SAP is an advantage
• Understanding of local GAAP and basic payroll knowledge would be beneficial
