Chief Accounting Officer

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the full-time Chief Accounting Officer will manage the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, oversee accounting operations, and lead the enterprise-wide controllership function while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial reporting and internal controls
• Lead interactions with the Audit Committee and serve as a strategic partner to the CFO and executive team
• Modernize accounting operations and systems, strengthening policies and processes across core accounting areas

Required qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial leadership roles
• Strong academic credentials with an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or business
• CPA certification and early public accounting experience are required
• Significant experience with accounting/financial reporting systems and process implementation
• Experience in professional services, consulting, or complex global organizations is desirable
