Chief Architect
Job Summary
Owning the target-state architecture for a CMS case management program, the full-time Chief Architect will establish architectural standards across cloud, data, security, and application layers while serving as the program's technical authority and mentoring senior technical staff in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Approve and own the program's target-state architecture across various technical layers
- Define and enforce architectural standards and solution patterns across all workstreams
- Provide architectural guidance to engineering teams and resolve conflicts among technical specialists
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 12-15+ years of experience in solution/enterprise architecture with previous leadership roles
- Direct experience delivering on federal contracts, preferably with CMS
- Proven experience in architecture governance and managing ADR processes
- Experience designing cloud-native, API-driven solutions using AWS services
