Chief Business Development Officer

Job Summary

Leading the enterprise-wide business development function, the full-time Chief Business Development Officer will drive strategic partnerships, licensing, and venture creation efforts while building a high-performing team to maximize the impact of innovations in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development and strategic partnership strategies aligned with commercialization and growth priorities
• Source, evaluate, structure, and execute high-value transactions including licensing and partnerships
• Represent the organization at industry conferences and advise executive leadership on market trends and long-term growth strategies

Required qualifications

• PhD with 15+ years of industry experience and MBA preferred, or Master's degree with MBA and 20+ years of experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences industries
• Extensive experience with licensing, strategic partnerships, and venture creation
• Exceptional negotiation, strategic thinking, and relationship management skills
• Experience in oncology, cell and gene therapy, or advanced therapeutics preferred
