Job Summary
Providing strategic and technical leadership for complex life insurance claims, the full-time remote Chief Claims Examiner will oversee adjudication, guide policy interpretation, and lead modernization efforts while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Manage complex, contestable, and escalated life insurance claims, providing subject-matter expertise and strategic direction
- Analyze claims trends and develop actionable insights to improve processes and mitigate risks
- Lead claims transformation initiatives, including workflow redesign and the integration of technology and automation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, finance, legal studies, risk management, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive life insurance claims experience with a focus on complex claim adjudication
- 5+ years of direct experience with contestable life insurance claims and senior technical oversight
- 5+ years of leadership experience in claims operations or technical guidance
- Proven experience in managing appeals, litigation-related claims, and regulatory compliance
