Chief Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the technical planning and execution for a complex development and integration program, the full-time Chief Engineer will oversee system hardware-software-network design, development, and fielding for the TACMOR Network program, while working in a hybrid/remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise and oversight throughout the program lifecycle, from requirements development to fielding
• Collaborate with the program manager to develop technical schedules, evaluate design alternatives, and resolve technical challenges
• Lead systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, and integration efforts, ensuring high standards for deliverables

Required qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance within 365 days
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with a Master's degree and 18+ years of experience preferred
• Minimum of 20 years' experience in systems engineering or a similar role, with expertise in cross-discipline team collaboration
• Experience in network systems engineering, including design and deployment of optical and routing platforms
• Proven expertise in leading large-scale development programs and managing technical contributors
