Job Summary
A company is looking for a Chief Engineer responsible for maintenance, operation, and repair of all vessel systems onboard ships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains and repairs all vessel systems, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and refrigeration
- Supervises Assistant Engineers and assigns duties
- Ensures compliance with safety regulations and conducts periodic inspections
Required Qualifications:
- Maritime Engineering School Graduate or equivalent
- 2 years experience as Engineer on 100-ton vessels
- Strong knowledge of diesel propulsion and electricity generating systems
- Proficient in using computer systems and MS software applications
- Valid licenses and certifications, including DDE 4000 license, Chief Engineer< 4000 HR STCW endorsement, First Aid/CPR certification, TWIC card, and US Passport
