Chief Estimator, Construction
Job Summary
Leading the estimating and preconstruction discipline for commercial, federal, civil, infrastructure, and environmental projects, the remote Chief Estimator, Construction will manage complex estimate strategies, develop scalable standards, and validate pricing assumptions for projects valued between $1MM and $200MM.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and review of various types of estimates, ensuring they are complete, compliant, and risk-informed
- Establish and implement estimating standards, tools, and governance based on project complexity and risk profile
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve bid-to-execution transitions and support strategic market research
Required qualifications
- 15+ years of estimating experience in construction, environmental remediation, or infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated ability to estimate projects across a broad value range, including fixed-price and design-build environments
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, subcontractor pricing, and risk assessment
- Experience developing various types of estimates, including ROM, conceptual, and detailed estimates
- Proven track record of leading estimate reviews and collaborating with proposal and operations teams
