Job Summary

Leading TNTP's external affairs function, the full-time Chief External Affairs Officer will design and implement a comprehensive strategy to enhance the organization's narrative and brand, oversee integrated marketing and communications initiatives, and represent TNTP in high-profile forums, all while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee TNTP's comprehensive external affairs strategy to galvanize national support for redesigning education systems
• Direct executive communications strategy, including high-stakes correspondence and crisis messaging
• Build and lead high-performing teams across marketing, communications, campaigns, and engagement functions

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior leadership experience in communications, external affairs, marketing, or public affairs within education or nonprofit sectors
• Exceptional writing and narrative expertise with a proven ability to shape executive-level communications
• Experience as a senior organizational spokesperson with strong media presence
• Deep understanding of the K-12 education ecosystem and systems-change work
• Strong track record in building and leading integrated teams that achieve measurable outcomes
