Job Summary

To support a mission-driven advocacy organization, the full-time Chief Financial Officer will oversee finance, compliance, budgeting, and administrative management while driving best practices and collaborating closely with senior management in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide strategic financial planning and ensure efficient financial systems that align with organizational missions
• Supervise the finance team and manage relationships with outsourced accountants, auditors, and compliance firms
• Lead the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget, ensuring transparent financial reporting and compliance with legal obligations

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience in financial and compliance leadership roles at multi-entity organizations, with a CPA preferred
• Experience managing a team and supporting the growth and development of direct reports
• Strong project management and administrative skills with the ability to create and improve systems and processes
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Demonstrated commitment to justice and equity, with familiarity and alignment with the organization's mission and vision
