Job Summary

To support a growing pet food subscription business, the full-time Chief Financial Officer will oversee financial results, manage the operating plan, and ensure transaction readiness while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the annual operating plan process, including revenue targets and operating expense budgets, and present to the board of directors
• Own the accuracy of GAAP financial statements and oversee the monthly and annual close process
• Manage cash flow forecasting and optimize working capital across accounts payable, receivable, and inventory

Required qualifications

• Experience as CFO in a consumer, CPG, DTC, or subscription business at meaningful scale ($75M-$300M)
• Proven transaction experience as the CFO-level financial principal in completed M&A transactions or significant financings
• Leadership in systems infrastructure, including full-cycle ERP implementation or migration
• Demonstrated operational financial outcomes, such as achieving positive operating cash flow or improving gross margin
• Experience developing finance talent in a lean, high-stakes environment
