Job Summary

To support a newly formed life and health insurance company, the remote Chief Financial Officer will manage statutory and GAAP financial reporting, oversee audit processes, and drive insurance tax strategy while shaping the company's financial future.

Key responsibilities:

• Own statutory and GAAP financial reporting and lead the audit process and control environment
• Drive insurance tax strategy and ensure compliance with regulations
• Build the analytical foundation for growth and profitability, communicating insights to the board and executive team

Required qualifications:

• Senior finance leadership experience in a life and health insurance environment
• Confidence in statutory reporting and capital requirements
• Proven ability to manage a high-quality close, reporting, and audit process
• Hands-on experience with insurance tax strategy and compliance
• Strong judgment on capital planning and growth-to-profitability paths
