Chief Investment Officer
Job Summary
To lead the development of a new robo-advisory platform, the full-time Chief Investment Officer will design investment strategies, select funds, and collaborate with engineering teams, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and own the Investment Policy Statement and the 50/30/20 model portfolio framework across risk bands
- Select and maintain the fund/ETF lineup using clear due-diligence criteria
- Define rebalancing and tax-loss-harvesting logic, collaborating directly with the engineering team to implement the product
Required qualifications
- Experience building and running model portfolios at a small-to-midsize RIA or robo-advisor
- CFA charter or equivalent demonstrated track record
- Working knowledge of modern portfolio theory and asset allocation methodology
- Ability to be publicly named as the face of an investment strategy in regulatory disclosures
- Startup mindset with a hands-on approach to building investment functions from scratch
