Chief Legal Officer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Chief Legal Officer to serve as the first senior in-house legal leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, balancing business enablement with risk management
• Oversee all commercial contracting, including MSAs, SaaS agreements, and government contracts
• Lead the adoption of AI-enabled legal workflows to enhance efficiency and maintain legal accountability

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of legal experience, including roles as Senior in-house Counsel, Chief Legal Officer, or General Counsel
• Direct experience in data, cybersecurity, or enterprise SaaS organizations
• Experience supporting federal government customers and regulated enterprise buyers
• Strong background in commercial contracting for complex enterprise SaaS deals
• Demonstrated success in startup or high-growth environments
