Job Summary
To support a biotech company's mission in developing novel therapies for Neuroscience conditions, the remote Chief Medical Officer, Neuroscience will formulate and execute the Clinical R&D strategy, lead the Clinical Development R&D functions, and represent product candidates to key stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Shape corporate strategy for developing novel neuroscience therapies and execute mission-critical goals collaboratively
- Develop the overarching clinical development blueprint and expand the clinical team to advance drug candidates through early clinical development
- Oversee clinical trial data analysis and maintain relationships with academic thought leaders and regulatory authorities
Required qualifications
- Medical degree with 10+ years of experience in neurology drug development
- 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry with a proven track record of NDA or BLA approvals
- Experience managing and leading R&D teams, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strategic awareness in clinical development to prioritize product development opportunities
- Patient-centric mindset and a hands-on approach to advancing the portfolio
