Chief Modeler (M&S)

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Chief Modeler (M&S) for the FAA BNATCS.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of modelers, providing technical guidance and developing a strategic roadmap for Modeling and Simulation (M&S) activities
• Oversee the creation of high-fidelity models and simulations to evaluate system performance and operational scenarios
• Analyze simulation results to provide actionable insights for system design and operational planning

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Systems, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline; Master's Degree preferred
• 15+ years of overall experience, with 10+ years in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for mission-critical systems
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams of modelers or engineers
• Domain experience in FAA/NAS systems, including Communication, Surveillance, Automation, and Facilities
• Familiarity with FAA Systems Engineering Manual (SEM) and safety analysis tooling (e.g., FTA/FMEA tools)
