Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Chief Operating Officer to lead operations at a remote veterinary medicine startup, focusing on finance, people, engineering, and program leadership, while driving the commercial launch of its first product in 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the operational execution of the company's first commercial launch, collaborating across various departments to ensure success
• Manage and scale teams in Finance, People, and Engineering, while enhancing operational systems and processes
• Act as a company-wide problem solver, proactively addressing operational issues and freeing the CEO to focus on external priorities

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of operating experience at high-growth startups, with a proven track record of building and scaling operations
• Experience in both startup and scale environments, having developed operational systems from inception to maturity
• Technical credibility with experience leading engineering or data teams, and the ability to communicate complex ideas simply
• Commercially literate, with the ability to challenge and coach commercial leadership effectively
• Strong management skills, with a focus on developing people and holding teams accountable for performance
