Chief Operating Officer
Job Summary
To ensure strong and scalable internal operations, the full-time remote Chief Operating Officer will oversee enterprise functions including Finance, People & Culture, and Legal/Business Affairs, while partnering with the CEO and executive team to drive organizational effectiveness and strategic execution.
Key responsibilities
- Design and continuously improve XPRIZE's operating model across key functions
- Provide executive oversight of financial strategy, planning, and performance
- Lead the People & Culture function to attract and retain top talent while fostering a high-performance culture
Required qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive senior leadership experience, including oversight of enterprise operations
- Demonstrated experience in scaling organizations in nonprofit, for-profit, or hybrid environments
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and organizational metrics
- Prior experience working with Boards and Board committees
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred; CPA or similar credential a plus
