Chief Privacy Officer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Chief Privacy Officer to oversee the development and implementation of privacy programs in compliance with applicable laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Privacy Program in alignment with HIPAA regulations and applicable laws
• Establish processes for receiving, documenting, and investigating privacy-related complaints
• Serve as the liaison with external agencies and promote information privacy awareness within the organization

Required Qualifications

• 12 or more years of applicable experience in privacy or healthcare compliance
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees such as a law degree or MBA preferred
• Knowledge of contract law and data privacy regulations, including HIPAA
• Experience in developing and maintaining healthcare compliance programs
• Progressive leadership experience in privacy-related roles is preferred
