Chief Program Officer

Job Summary

As the first Chief Program Officer, the full-time remote position will set programmatic strategy and standards across Agriculture and Health portfolios, building high-performing teams and partnerships to scale AI-enabled interventions that benefit millions in low- and middle-income countries.

Key responsibilities

• Shape organizational strategy and culture as a core member of the executive leadership team, ensuring programs have strong learning architectures
• Design and implement ambitious program strategies, including rigorous pilots with clear measurement and feedback loops
• Build partnerships with AI labs and global development actors, leading fundraising efforts and representing the organization at senior levels

Required qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in global health or international development, with a proven track record of scaling initiatives in low and middle-income countries
• Experience in program design or deployment related to AI clinical decision support or digital health is preferred
• Demonstrated success in fundraising, with experience raising $5M+ annually from major donors
• Familiarity with the operations of African and/or Asian governments to support regional leaders effectively
• Strong AI fluency and knowledge of frontier AI tools and their applications in low-resource settings
