Chief Software Engineer - Cloud

Job Summary

Driving the technical evolution of an Azure-based IoT Cloud platform, the full-time Chief Software Engineer - Cloud will lead architecture and hands-on development of scalable solutions for the Fire, Refuse Collection, and Concrete Mixer markets while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure engineering excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design decisions for the connected vehicle Azure cloud platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
• Develop cloud-native services, APIs, and event-driven systems while mentoring engineers and establishing coding standards
• Collaborate with embedded engineers and product owners to remove technical roadblocks and optimize cloud performance and costs

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• 8+ years of experience in developing backend software and APIs for cloud-native applications
• Strong programming skills in C#, .NET Core, or similar languages
• Experience with Azure cloud technologies and designing cloud data stores
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and real-time data processing
