Job Summary

A company is looking for a SVP, Credit Risk/Chief Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and communicate the organization's Credit Policy and changes to agency and investor guidelines
• Collaborate with departments to design and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines related to mortgage products
• Oversee workflows and ensure efficient underwriting processes while promoting best practices

Required Qualifications and Education

• College degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience
• 15+ years of experience in mortgage banking, with 10+ years in a Credit Risk/Policy Analysis role
• 5+ years of supervisory or management experience
• Extensive knowledge of credit risk management principles and agency underwriting guidelines
• Proficiency in computer systems, including loan origination and automated underwriting systems, as well as MS Office
