Job Summary

To strengthen a prevention-oriented culture within the Office of Refugee Resettlement's care provider network, the full-time Prevention Specialist will conduct assessments, analyze data, and develop recommendations to improve safety and prevent child abuse and neglect, working remotely for a six-month duration with potential for extension.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct provider- and system-level assessments, data analysis, and continuous improvement activities related to child safety
  • Review and analyze serious incident reports, monitoring findings, and compliance information to identify trends and systemic vulnerabilities
  • Develop and implement tools, training, and methodologies to enhance prevention practices and safety culture across the provider network
Required qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with child welfare populations, including congregate care settings
  • Master's degree in social work or related field (or bachelor's plus 10 years of relevant experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with immigrating children and families
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
