Child Welfare Technical Advisor

Job Summary

Working remotely with occasional hybrid options, the full-time salaried Child Welfare Technical Advisor will strengthen workforce and organizational conditions to improve child welfare outcomes through training, technical assistance, and collaboration with public child welfare agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the design and delivery of training and technical assistance (T/TA) activities, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
• Maintain communication with project/client contacts, providing insights on trends, issues, and best practices in child welfare
• Collaborate with project leadership and other technical experts to identify needs, analyze effective approaches, and develop long-term strategies for performance improvement

Required qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Human Services, or a related field
• At least 15 years of relevant work experience in child welfare and related systems
• Demonstrated expertise in child welfare workforce development and continuous quality improvement
• Experience supporting public child welfare agencies in improving practice and outcomes for children and families
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
