Chinese Consecutive Interpreter

Job Summary

Providing essential language support, the remote contracted Chinese Consecutive Interpreter - Inexperienced will facilitate communication during phone calls and meetings by accurately interpreting messages between Mandarin Chinese and English speakers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consecutive interpretation services during various over-the-phone situations
• Listen to the speaker in the source language and convey the message accurately in the target language
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while adhering to HIPAA requirements and company policies

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English
• For non-native Mandarin speakers, HSK Level 5 or 6 certification is required
• Proof of English language proficiency with a "Technical Proficiency" rating under the national ILR scale or equivalent
• Completion of a Mock Call assessment with a passing score
• Technical infrastructure to support interpretation assignments, including a headset, stable internet connection, and laptop
