Chinese Localization Editor

Job Summary

To support localization efforts for the upcoming title Guild Wars 3, the contract Chinese Localization Editor will review, edit, and improve localized game content, ensuring it is polished, culturally authentic, and aligned with the game's creative vision while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Edit and refine all Chinese-localized content for quality, accuracy, and cultural relevance
• Create and maintain localization resources, including glossaries and style guides, to ensure linguistic consistency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the localization process to enhance player experience

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2 years of experience in translation, editing, or writing in a professional setting
• 1 year of experience in game or software development, localization, or QA
• Strong understanding of Chinese grammar, tone, style, and cultural nuance
• Experience reviewing and editing player-facing content for quality and consistency
