Job Summary
Creative and story-driven, the full-time remote Cinematic Video Editor will transform raw footage into engaging reels, montages, and short films, focusing on cinematic storytelling and thoughtful editing techniques.
Key responsibilities
- Edit multi-camera and single-camera footage into 15-60 second vertical reels and 60-180 second brand pieces
- Colour grade footage for a consistent, film-like appearance and create engaging visual sequences
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and creative team for direction, feedback, and quick iterations
Required qualifications
- Portfolio or reel demonstrating narrative, documentary, brand, or story-led editing
- Strong colour-grading skills in DaVinci Resolve or Premiere with a Resolve workflow
- Ability to find and build B-roll sequences from unsorted footage
- Instinct for sound design and understanding of its impact on editing
- Motion design or animation skills with the ability to apply them effectively
