CIRCC Certified CVIR Coder

Job Summary

Providing remote coding support, the contract CIRCC Certified CVIR Coder will review and assign CPT and ICD-10-CM codes for cardiovascular interventional radiology procedures to ensure accurate and timely billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assign CPT and ICD-10-CM codes for CVIR procedures
• Code complex outpatient hospital surgical and interventional radiology cases
• Ensure billing compliance by applying correct CPT modifiers and resolving NCCI and OCE billing edit guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of acute care hospital outpatient surgical coding experience
• Hospital CVIR coding experience, including cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and stenting procedures
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT coding, CPT modifiers, NCCI edits, and OCE billing edits
• Proficiency with EHR systems and coding software
• Must hold one of the following certifications: CIRCC, COC, CPC, or CCS
