Job Summary

To support the Faculty Practice Revenue Cycle, the full-time remote HIM Coder I will assign ICD and CPT codes for patients receiving ancillary and surgical services, with a focus on interventional radiology coding and resolving edits.

Key responsibilities:

• Assign ICD and CPT codes for interventional radiology and other surgical services
• Perform Single Path Coding within EPIC, ensuring accuracy in professional and facility coding
• Resolve coding edits and maintain compliance with established coding procedures

Required qualifications:

• Completion of an AHIMA or AAPC accredited coding program with a CPC, RHIT, or RHIA certification
• At least 3 years of professional surgical case coding experience
• 6 months of experience coding outpatient ancillary/surgical records
• Proven proficiency with computer systems relevant to coding
• Experience coding professional surgical cases within at least one specialty
