CIRCC Certified Outpatient Coder

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time salaried CIRCC Certified Outpatient Coder will review medical records and perform coding on diagnoses and procedures while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Abstract, code, and sequence clinical information from various medical records accurately
• Assign correct principal and secondary diagnoses and procedure codes, ensuring proper sequencing
• Maintain compliance with external regulatory requirements and track productivity to meet client-defined standards

Required qualifications

• Must hold CIRCC, COC, CPC, or CCS certification
• Minimum of 3 years of acute care hospital outpatient surgical coding experience
• Expert knowledge in NCCI/OCE billing edits
• Experience with hospital CVIR coding and billing
• Strong understanding of coding conventions and rules established by relevant medical associations
