Job Summary
To oversee a comprehensive cybersecurity program, the full-time CISO/VP Data Security will manage all cybersecurity matters, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while working remotely and reporting directly to leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise the company's cybersecurity program, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Provide strategic cybersecurity guidance and serve as the main contact with regulators during audits
- Lead the selection and implementation of cybersecurity controls across the organization's systems
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity with direct ownership of a security program
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred
- Extensive experience in highly regulated industries and direct interaction with regulators
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies
- Experience with data warehousing, data analysis, and proficiency in a dynamic programming language like Python or Golang
