Job Summary
Analyzing and correlating information from various sources, the full-time CISSP Certified IT Security Engineer will identify, investigate, and report vulnerabilities in the environment while assisting with the resolution of security incidents in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis to identify and prevent compromises of networks, host systems, and data
- Provide engineering support for security incidents, including initial triage and forensic analysis of vulnerabilities
- Perform trend analysis and reporting on security incidents, recommending remediation strategies and participating in IT security audits
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
- CISSP certification, with CISM or GIAC as additional preferred certifications
- Strong knowledge of network security technologies and operating systems including Unix, Linux, Apple, and Windows
- Familiarity with network security architecture concepts and tools such as IDS, IPS, and endpoint protection
