Claims Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Captives Claim Accountant, responsible for managing and analyzing financial transactions related to insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Track, reconcile, and analyze loss payments for accuracy and proper accounting treatment
• Reconcile claims bank accounts and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings related to claims

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with at least 2 years of accounting experience (insurance or financial services preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and insurance claims accounting
• Proficiency in accounting and financial reporting software
• Experience in analytical and reconciliation tasks
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
