Job Summary
To manage and handle medical malpractice and professional liability claims, the full-time Claims Advisor, Medical Malpractice will analyze complex claims, negotiate settlements, and coordinate case management while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Analyzes and processes complex liability claims, managing them through action plans to timely resolution
- Conducts investigations and provides reports on claims and legal actions, ensuring compliance with client guidelines
- Negotiates claim settlements and implements cost containment strategies to reduce overall claim costs
Required qualifications
- Ten years of complex claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Master's or Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited institution preferred
- Licenses and designations such as Associate in Claims (AIC) or Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) preferred
- In-depth knowledge of medical malpractice insurance principles and laws
- Claims expertise in medical malpractice, errors and omissions, or related fields
