Job Summary
Managing complex medical malpractice and professional liability claims, the full-time Claims Advisor will handle investigations, negotiate settlements, and coordinate legal defense while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Analyzes and processes complex liability claims to determine exposure and manages claims to timely resolution
- Conducts investigations and provides reports on new events, claims, and legal actions
- Negotiates claim settlements and recommends strategies to maximize settlement outcomes
Required qualifications
- Ten years of complex claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Preferred Master's or Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university
- Licenses and designations such as Associate in Claims (AIC) or Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) preferred
- In-depth knowledge of medical malpractice insurance principles and laws
- Claims expertise in medical malpractice, errors and omissions, and related fields
