Job Summary
Supporting case development for disabled military veterans and their families, the full-time Claims Advocate Paralegal will gather information, draft legal documents, conduct research, and prepare assessments in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research and prepare assessments related to clients' cases, including theories and strategies
- Draft claims, arguments, appeals, and motions for clients' cases while prioritizing core work and meeting deadlines
- Coordinate with other advocates and assist in training new Claims Advocates and Client Advocates as needed
Required qualifications
- High School degree required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred
- 2+ years of working experience or training preferred
- Fluency in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Proficiency with standard office equipment and software, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card and required VA network access
