Job Summary
Assisting in the claims process, the full-time Claims Assistant will communicate with providers and policyholders, perform clerical tasks, and maintain accurate claim records while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate with internal and external customers to gather claim information and handle telephonic intake
- Perform clerical tasks to support the claim process and maintain accurate monthly reports
- Analyze claim mail and follow-ups for the maintenance of disability claims and issue benefit payments as needed
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of claims or customer service experience or equivalent
- Proficient with desktop applications such as MS Office
- Ability to navigate multiple software and web applications effectively
- Experience in maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive information
- Capacity to learn and understand a broad range of products related to claims
