Claims Attorney - Municipal Entities

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Claims Attorney (Municipal Entities).

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret coverage and collaborate with outside counsel to analyze and resolve claims
• Draft coverage position letters and develop strategies for resolution of litigated and non-litigated claims
• Maintain claim files and documents in accordance with company policy and procedure

Required Qualifications and Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant legal experience, with two-plus (2+) years of claims handling preferred
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to obtain necessary adjusting licenses within approximately 180 days of employment
