Claims Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely, the Claims Billing Specialist II will manage the accurate processing and reconciliation of financial transactions, including cash allocations and payments, while serving as a point of contact for escalated billing disputes and collaborating with internal teams to ensure compliance and timely resolutions.

Key responsibilities

• Process and reconcile financial transactions with accuracy and compliance to company policies and regulatory standards
• Research and resolve escalated billing disputes and payment discrepancies, ensuring clear communication of outcomes
• Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction

Required qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in medical billing, claims, or general accounting, preferably in workers' compensation
• Strong knowledge of billing practices, healthcare terminology, and claims systems
• Associate's degree or high school diploma with five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in researching, calculating, and processing provider payments
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and systems as needed
