Claims Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Claims Coding Specialist to perform complex duties in support of reimbursement from patients and insurance carriers.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates with internal staff and clinical departments regarding filing, documentation, and reimbursement issues
• Evaluates accounts, billing, payments, coding, and resolves denied claims with carriers and patients
• Identifies coding trends and makes recommendations to prevent or correct coding errors

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• No licensure or certification required
• Three (3) years of experience in a clerical, accounting, or customer service setting
• Six (6) months of experience working with CPT and ICD-10
