Job Summary
Managing claims and suits against policyholders, the full-time Claims Consultant - Adjuster's License will confirm coverage, interpret coverage issues, and oversee litigation while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Confirm coverage and manage claims and suits against policyholders
- Select legal counsel and manage litigation with outside counsel
- Negotiate settlements and provide service to insureds to assist in sales and retention efforts
Required qualifications
- J.D. preferred, or a Bachelor's degree with relevant industry experience
- Minimum of five years of claims and/or litigation experience, preferably in healthcare liability
- Strong negotiating and coverage evaluation skills
- Adjuster's license or ability to obtain within 90 days may be required
