Claims Counsel - D&O Liability

Job Summary

Managing high-severity, complex insurance claims, the full-time salaried Claims Counsel - D&O Liability will focus on coverage analysis, policy interpretation, and strategic claim resolution in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret insurance policies to determine coverage and obligations, drafting coverage position letters as necessary
• Oversee complex claims investigations and develop strategic approaches for claim resolution, including litigation oversight
• Negotiate settlements and provide independent evaluations of claims based on investigations and expert input

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) with active bar membership in good standing, or 7-10+ years of senior-level experience handling complex liability claims
• Adjuster licenses and demonstrated expertise in insurance coverage analysis
• Experience in issuing or advising on coverage positions, including reservations of rights and denials
• Strong understanding of liability, damages, and litigation strategy
• Proficiency with claims management systems and related tools
