Claims Follow-Up Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Claims Follow Up Representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Process patient bills and follow up on third-party claims to ensure timely reimbursement
• Review and analyze claims for accuracy, making necessary adjustments and contacting insurers as needed
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines and assist in identifying trends related to payment variances

Required Qualifications

• Equivalent to a high school graduate
• Knowledge of third-party billing, including ICD, CPT, HCPCS, UB, and HCFA 1505 claim forms
• One to three years of relevant experience in medical collections or professional/hospital billing preferred
• Demonstrated skills in critical thinking and relationship-building
• Ability to work independently and establish work plans based on priorities
