Claims Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Claims Manager to investigate and manage reported claims and adverse events.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage litigated claims, evaluate insurance coverages, and oversee litigation decisions
• Investigate pre-suit claims, conduct interviews, prepare case reports, and negotiate settlements
• Prepare claims reports and present high-exposure cases to leadership and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly-related claim management experience
• Knowledge of laws related to professional liability and malpractice litigation
• Familiarity with medical terms, concepts, and practices
