Claims Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Claims Manager responsible for the strategic oversight of medical professional liability claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact and support for Physicians and APPs regarding claims
• Oversee day-to-day claims management and respond to discovery requests on behalf of corporate entity defendants
• Coordinate with Defense Counsel to evaluate potential exposures and make strategic recommendations

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal and medical malpractice experience preferred
• Paralegal certification will also be considered
• Master's in nursing will also be considered
• Minimum of three years of experience in a law firm or liability insurer
• Broad knowledge of legal principles and processes specific to professional liability litigation
