Claims Manager

Job Summary

Overseeing the daily operations of a claims examining team, the full-time remote Claims Manager will supervise and advise claims examiners throughout the adjudication process, ensuring compliance with regulations and departmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervises and advises claims examiners in all phases of the adjudication process
• Schedules, assigns, and oversees the work of claims examiners, resolving workflow challenges
• Implements programmatic changes and provides feedback to management on team performance and production issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of experience as a Claims Examiner preferred
• Prior experience in supervising, mentoring, or training others preferred
• Knowledge of disability adjudication principles and current federal and state laws related to leaves of absence
• Excellent supervisory skills and ability to build effective working relationships
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
