Job Summary
To support the claims organization, the full-time Claims Payment Processor will calculate and issue Short-Term Disability payments remotely, utilizing Excel tools and knowledge of policy provisions while maintaining accurate documentation and communication with various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and document complex payments in the system, ensuring accurate tracking of claims
- Communicate with employers and claimants to gather necessary financial data for benefit calculations
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with guidelines
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of experience in a financial services environment related to claims processing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
