Claims Processing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Claims Processing Specialist who will review invoices and pet medical documents to determine coverage in compliance with the current Underwriter's policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Review individual policies to make accurate eligibility determinations
• Contact internal departments and veterinary staff to ensure compliance with guidelines
• Enter data into the claims system and issue claim decisions to pet parents

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6+ years of recent clinical veterinary experience as a veterinary assistant, technician, or veterinarian
• Knowledge of veterinary terms, medical conditions, and associated treatments
• Ability to read and interpret medical diagnoses from records
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to navigate Windows OS and Google Chrome
