Claims Specialist

Job Summary

To support high-level insurance claim issue resolution, the remote Claims Specialist will proactively manage open claims, work with aging reports, and collaborate with the Revenue Cycle teams to improve claim flow.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively work open insurance claims to ensure prompt processing and resolution
• Appeal and follow up on denied insurance claims while reviewing and resolving payer denials
• Effectively communicate and develop strong working relationships with doctors and team members to promote teamwork

Required qualifications

• Minimum two-year associate's degree; bachelor's degree preferred
• Familiarity with dental and medical insurance claims
• High skill level in interpreting payers' explanation of benefits
• Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously with minimal direction
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively with various internal customers
