Claims Specialist
Job Summary
Processing and reviewing routine life or health claims, the full-time remote Claims Specialist 1 will manage claims adjustments, respond to inquiries from agents and policyholders, and ensure compliance with insurance-related policies.
Key responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and process claims, adjustments, and refunds for life and health insurance products
- Respond to inquiries regarding policy coverage and related information through various communication channels
- Cross-train on additional products and assist with related duties as needed
Required qualifications
- General knowledge of claims processing principles and insurance-related policies
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous related experience is a plus
- Intermediate computer skills, including basic knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Ability to meet procedural, financial, and quality metrics
